These incense sticks are handmade with 100% wild-harvested cedar needles. The needles were harvested without falling the tree and then ground to a paste by traditional methods using a water mill (see pictures below). The process is very time consuming and labor intensive. There are only a few water mills left in Japan. The scent is mild woodsy. Especially suitable for spiritual practice and for people who are sensitive to strong fragrances or perfumes.
